The headquarters of Swartland Municipality (SM) is located at Church Street, Malmesbury, and serves an area of approximately 3 700 square kilometres.
The area encloses the following towns:
Malmesbury, Moorreesburg, Abbotsdale, Riebeek West, Riebeek Castle, Darling, Yzerfontein, Koringberg, Chatsworth, Kalbaskraal and Riverlands.
Yzerfontein resorts under Ward 5 of SM and the councillor is Michael Rangasamy.
